We need three bloggers for Boulder Channel1 News. You need to live in Boulder, be able to write and shoot pictures and video from your I-Phone or Flip. Want to get your foot into the TV and news business? Well here’s your chance. These are non-paid positions. You will receive press credentials to events plus get swag. It is also a chance to get in line for a paid job here. But these are non-paid so please don’t ask.

Sports Blogger will write about stick and ball sports plus other sports relative to Boulder. Writing about Buffs, Bronkos, Rockies, Nuggets, Avs, X-games, skiing, cycling, running etc. Your work will appear on our multiple sports sites and put you in league with other sports writers here in Colorado.

Food Blogger writes about new Boulder Restaurants opening, restaurant news, and recipes. It will appear on Boulder Restaurant Channel which is our search engine, restaurant news blog, and TV show. We have been covering food in Boulder since 1975.

News Blogger will cover on going cultural and news events in Boulder. Anything news related. You will joing our staff of seasoned journalists  Ron Baird, Jann Scott and Aaron Smith. You might write about a concert, festival, fire, anything news worthy. Then you’ll take some pictures or shoot video with your phone and post it all up here. We will expect at lease one new story posted each week. Available 6-10 hours per week for a duration of 3 months minimum

Internships

Want to get your foot into the TV industry by interning at Boulder Channel 1? Well here’s your chance. We are now accepting applications for Spring 2011 interns.
Our internship program gives you an inside look into the industry, hands on experience and is a great way to meet a wide variety of industry professionals,  and more.
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in the TV and internet industry
Ability to multi task and be detail oriented
Computer and Research skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet browser)
Available 6-10 hours per week for a duration of 3 months minimum

Job Openings

The current Job openings we have right now are:

Advertising Sales Rep.
This job is full time or part time. It includes calling retailers and selling them into our various TV specials including Best of Boulder or Boulder restaurant show. We sell TV video segments, commercials, banners, links, social media, website design.
This is a very busy job and we are looking for sales professionals only here. You must have a car, cell phone and we prefer a background in local advertising sales. You will be seeing clients , setting up shoots, cold calling (However, this is not a way to get into Boulder Channel 1 and switch to the talent or production side. It is not.)  We will consider part time CU students for this job.

Pay is hourly to train switch to commission.

Female Talent

Age approximately 19 to 24 to host our weekly 3 minute news cast. Must have acting experience, be able to sing , have comedic timing, be energetic and gorgeous.

ADVERTISING SALES
We are looking for someone who can do it all….include pitch …sell close….  We are looking for an experienced media sales person.

TV broadcast, communications , theater major to do some promotions, shoot short segments on flip mino, help host at events, plus do marketing, advertising sales with TV model looks.
this is good part time work for CU intern.

INSIDE/OUTSIDE SALES we are looking for an experienced media sales person, with ties to the community, an excellent record of sales and closing. Hitters please.
